'Prison Break' Star Wentworth Miller Fights Zombies In 'Resident Evil: Afterlife'

"Resident Evil: Afterlife," the upcoming fourth installment in the video game-turned-film franchise, is set to lens in Toronto next month with a prison-centric plot -- and luckily for our zombie-fighting heroes, there's one guy coming aboard that's had some experience in the big house.

In an interview with Black Film, actor Boris Kodjoe revealed that he'll star in the upcoming "Resident Evil" film alongside Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter, both of whom return in their roles as Alice and Claire Redfield, respectively. But Kodjoe also threw an entirely new actor in the mix: none other than Wentworth Miller, the star of the recently concluded "Prison Break" television series.

Kodjoe plays the leader of a zombie resistance group fighting to free other survivors from a surrounded prison. According to the actor, Miller's character is -- ironically enough -- one of the imprisoned survivors.

"He's playing a guy that we actually locked up when we took over the jail because we weren't sure if he was one of them or not," Kodjoe said of Miller's role. "He comes into play as we try to find a way to get out with our survivors."

Given director Paul W.S. Anderson's previous comments that characters from the game will appear in "Afterlife," is it possible that Miller could be playing a familiar role? An obvious pick would be Chris Redfield, given Larter's role as sister Claire. The prison scenario also means it's possible that Miller could instead portray Leon Kennedy, a rookie police officer who is thrust into the zombie infestation.

Even though "Prison Break" was pretty ridiculous most of the time, I loved Miller's performance on the show. He'd make for a great Chris Redfield or Leon Kennedy -- heck, even as an original character -- and should be a fun player to watch in the next "Resident Evil" flick.

A great finish to a great series!!!

I have just finished watching PRISON BREAK: THE FINAL BREAK online....all I can say....it's amazing!!! The writers did a very good job tying loose ends. Great finish to a great series!!!

First off, I know many fans of the show did not like the end of season 4. I, myself, thought it was a great ending....however, I still felt like something was still missing....Michael's death went too fast, unexplained. Well, this movie does indeed make a much better ending to the series than the end of the 4th season did.

The subject of Michaels death leaves me to my next point. The end of the 4th season finale makes you to believe Michael was sentence to death by health reasons. Although this does play out a little in the movie, the whole idea of Michael's death is blow away in a totally different aspect....which the writers have successfully proved Michael's character of "sacrificing himself to help others in his life" throughout the whole series. Kuddo's to the writers!!! And I know, fans wanted more of a "happy ending", but at the end of this movie, despite Michael's demise, it really is a happy ending because it is what the central character wanted....Michaels decision alone....which stayed true to his character throughout the series. Like someone else mentioned earlier...the movie is similar to a Shakespearan type novel....like a Romeo & Juliet feeling to the story.

Also I would like to point out, that if you are a fan of the 1st season (the best season, in my opinion), this movie has a very close resemblance to the first season. It is VERY ACTION PACKED, and has that same intense feeling you got when watching the 1st season. Very enjoyable!!! In fact the action is so ongoing....I didn't think the movie would have a satisfying finish....but it does.

Another last note....the movie also reveals the question "What ever happen to Gretchen?". Which was nice to see that they tied her character's story line better than they did in the 4th season. She was always a favorite character of mine.

All and all, I highly recommend this movie!! It definitely ties the loose ends that the 4th Season finale left us...with a better explanation to Michael's demise. Prison Break: The Final Break, has a much more satisfying ending!!! Mainly due to the fact that the central character (Michael) remained true to himself thru out the entire series. Michael was in control of his decisions, no matter what sacrifice he had to do.....making the ultimate sacrifice to the end of this great series. If this was novel, it would be considered, imo, a GREAT BOOK!!!

Farewell, Prison Break!

Have watched the last few episodes of Prison Break in the front of computer, I still could not hold back tears though I had known the final outcome of Michael.

Michael:

You always represent the ideal model for the modern man: witty, sensitive and courageous. Although we all wish you and Sara are in love, you eventually die --- earth return to the earth. It is somewhat pessimistic and depressing that you, such a man experiencing waves of various hardness, are defeated by the fate ultimately. As we close to the gorgeous gown of life weaved by the screenwriter, we find the eyes full of nasty lice. ------------ Even if you can fly over the Fox River, over Sona, cannot fly out of the life cage.

Sara:

You are an unfortunately woman. When your long-suffering love is about to wrap up a perfect, the fate breaks the chessboard. We cannot estimate that what the untimely death of father and lover, such important two men in your life, will bring to you. But we know you are being suffering behind your beautiful face. As a woman, maybe you can just convey your love to the baby called Michael, who has blue eyes as his father, Michael.

Lincoln:

You, finally, live a peaceful life with LJ and Sophia, your new girlfriend. Honestly, even though you are not smart as Michael, you are strong, brave; you are an outright man, a great father, also. You should thank fate that gives you such good brothers and a woman. You give a slap to the sissy and womanish men on the earth.

Sucre:

I think one should make friends like you. It is more difficult for a man to seek a good brother than to seek a good woman. Men around the world are all in the intrigues: visible and invisible smoke had blinded the pristine hearts, but you hold justice, genuineness and a warm smile as a hero of human. You cannot spell “Passion”, however, no one has the enthusiasm as you do. You always make us feel that we own the undefeatable friendship. As C-note, you live in the bottom of society, but you are so filled with feelings to cherish everything around.

Bellick:

Wretched and grim, you were nightmare of everyone, you were an asshole. In the past, you cannot cover the surface of your ferocious sense of inferiority. But when you realize you are false and strong, your inner personality shows great------your sacrifice becomes your glory. In any case, you have been doing your duty.

Thanks for your stories; even if it is full of loopholes and worse development, it still tells us a lot of things about hope, love, friendship and affection. I love intense action scenes, from the micro to the macro-narrative structure, conspiracy theory, of course, a complex lens conversion, flight direction and push-pull, American-style humor, opening theme song and so on.

Be grateful to these geniuses who manufacture happiness and tears.

Farewell, Prison Break!
